FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MAKE A DIFFERENCE CAMPAIGN SET TO RAISE $100,000 FOR MEDIA IN THE METRO PROGRAM

Spring 2012 will bring a new alternative for Atlanta's inner-city youngsters to express their creativity. Media in the Metro, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting high school students in audio and video production, is busy raising start-up funds to get the gears in motion on this soon-to-be staple in the community with the Make a Difference campaign.

Media in the Metro is set to be an after-school program with the mission of providing "a foundation for youth who aspire to further their skills in the media and entertainment industry." Students seeking to be a part of Media in the Metro will be required a certain GPA along with a recommendation from a faculty member at their school. The facility for Media in the Metro will be unique in its dual role of providing media services professionally. The Make a Difference campaign aspires to raise $100, 000 for Media in the Metro's start-up expenses.

The Media in the Metro facility will be a full-service audio and visual studio, and having gained support from marketing pioneer and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at University of Georgia's Terry College of Business Dill Driscoll, co-founders Chavis Clark and Michael Singh are anticipating the progress of the project. Michael explained, "We're creating a learning environment for the next generation in entertainment."

"More than anything we are excited to have an engaging outlet for them to create original film and music." Chavis added.

Donations can be made under the "Donate" section of MediaintheMetro.com. Donors who commit to at least $100 a month will be a part of the 100 Mile Club. These donors are recognized on the Media in the Metro website. Wristbands will also be sold with proceeds going toward the Make a Difference S100K goal anticipated for the venture.
